KaZaK Composites applies innovative design and low-cost manufacturing technology to develop cost-effective composites applicable to both military and commercial ship building. Large pultruded structures are poised to revolutionize ship fabrication technology.
Most recently, KaZaK’s flexible stanchions for naval aircraft carriers were used to replace the steel stanchions formerly used to surround flight deck elevators. By replacing these retractable steel stanchions with a hybrid material that allows stanchions that have been knocked down to return upright and undamaged, the Navy will replace less stanchions and therefore save both money and time.
KaZaK is working on composite ship panels and joining methods that can create a major paradigm shift in shipbuilding that at costs that competes with steel.
