KAZAK COMPOSITES OPENS NEW MANUFACTURING
PLANT IN HUDSON, NH
Location Beats Out MA and SC As Final Destination of New Plant

WOBURN, MA, January 1, 2007 – KaZaK Composites, Inc., a premier provider of high value-added composite engineering and design, today announced the have opened a new manufacturing plant in Hudson, NH, replacing a former plant in South Carolina. Operations were moved to New Hampshire for a number of reasons, such as the availability of a skilled workforce, New Hampshire’s income tax free and sales tax free status and lower cost of living. Additionally, KaZaK had a strong desire to have the engineers and manufacturers closer geographically.

"Composites is a specialty area, and not having our engineers with access to projects was a shortcoming. What drove the business decision was to bring us closer together," said John Schickling, Kazak's chief operating officer and CFO. The new space also allows KaZaK to remain virtually debt free which will enable it achieve its objectives for the new year, including the continued push toward commercialization of composites designed for the military and other industries. “We are working with different industries to determine how our pultrusion-built composites can work to solve everyday problems,” says Schickling. “Since our engineers are now closer to the manufacturing plant we will be able to design and build prototypes in a more timely manner and enable other industries to see how we can help them.”
The new plant is 22,400 square feet and home to the world’s largest pultrusion machine, capable of manufacturing seamless composite panels up to 10 feet in length. KaZaK plans to add 10 new jobs in 2007.
