BRIAN J. SMITH JOINS KAZAK COMPOSITES, INC. AS
DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING
WOBURN, MA, December 18, 2006 – KaZaK Composites, Inc., a premier provider of high value-added composite engineering and design, today announced that Brian J. Smith has joined the company, effective immediately. Smith comes on board as Director of Engineering in order to lead the talented team of engineers as they continue to develop and design unique composite structures that being used in military, aerospace and commercial applications.
“We are very excited to have Brian join our team,” says Jerry Fanucci, KaZaK’s CEO. “Brian is going to lead the team of engineers as KaZaK continues to design, build and test prototype composites that will solve problems in the military and commercial markets. His years of experience and high level of education makes him a welcome addition to the KaZaK team.”
Smith brings an impressive and extensive resume to KaZaK. Prior to this appointment he was VP of product research and development at Applied Materials Science, Inc. based out of Concord, MA and also held positions at Starmet Corporation where he was manager, materials and process engineering and at Nuclear Metals, Inc. where he was a research engineer.
Smith holds a Ph.D and MS in Materials Science and Engineering from the Lehigh University and a mechanical engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnical Institute. He will be based in KaZaK’s corporate headquarters in Woburn, MA.
